Raleigh Singulus - Thoughts?

I’m set to start my first real tri season this year, and I’ve spent the entire offseason upgrading my road bike to better prepare for it. Up until today, where I see a guy selling an untouched 2014 Raleigh Singulus, shipped for $550.

Does anyone have anything to say about the bike, or Raleigh in general? Seems like a steal for a brand new tri bike, but it’s an aluminum frame and I can’t seem to find a dang thing about it online.

I looked at one once. Nicely built frame with your standard entry level componentry. I did some research, though, and decided against it. The stack:reach ratio was on the high side. Couple that with a pretty conservative seat post angle (~76*, at least in the size I was looking at), and you have something that’s pretty limited in terms of how aero you can get, at least for a tri bike.

Be careful on labeled sizing. When I looked at the geometry chart, I thought the numbers were all smaller than I would have expected given the nominal size. The labeled 56 I was looking at seemed more like it should have been a 54-55 to me.
