Anyone know of any flats that give your piggies some wiggle room?
Do you count Kinvaras as racing flats? They’re roomy.
Anything light with a low ramp angle. I hate high heels.
Take a look at the newer road line from Inov-8.
Saucony Fastwitch 5 have a little more than others I’ve tried (Nike Zoom xc, Streak 3). Probably not true racing flat, but I like the Newton Distance, good toe box.
Kinvaras, hands down.
easy answer…Asics Hyperspeed. A very solid racing flat
the Kswiss K-ona’s if you want bit of antipronation support at the same time… huge toe box, super light

K Swiss Kruuz, don’t look any further.

I’ve heard that Altra is developing a racing shoes - if so that shoe will have gobs of forefoot room.
One more, how about the new PureConnects?

I have a pair of the f-195’s. Pretty minimal and a wide forefoot. I’m normally a 13, and sizing down to a 12.5 might have been a good option.
I wear the New Balance 1190s in a 2E width. I have a wide forefoot and bunions. Not a racing flat, but a “performance stability” shoe and they’re about 9 ozs.
x2 on the Asics Hyperspeed. I find them very comfy.
X3 on the Kinvaras. Pretty dang light, low ramp, and a wide toe box. Love mine.
Inov 8 road x 233. I switched to these recently from the kinvaras and I prefer the inov 8 shoe. Same heal to toe drop but not as squishy feel. Ran a marathon in them recently and they felt great the whole way. Better than the kinvaras after a long run. FWIW I am 6’ 4" and 230+ so I am not a little guy running in these lightweight shoes. Running Warehouse had a good deal on them when I bought them.

I just picked up some Connects, and am looking forward to trying them on a real run soon…
But they are not particularly roomy in the toe-box… Out the the Brooks Pure lineup, the Connect is definitely the “skinniest” up front.
Cheers, Chris
New Balance Minimus. I race in the Kinvara’s but they are tighter in the forefoot then the NB. Level as well. They fell more like a racing flat as well. Gonna have to size down to go sockless and the no insole and stitching looks great for it.

Mizuno Wave Universe have some wiggle room. I was a bit surprised the first time I had them on compared to the Saucony Type A4’s I was wearing.
