New Balance have a completely new range of flats for all distances, 5K to the marathon and quite possibly the 2 best lightweight trainers ever made, the NB 833 and 900.

I agree…I race in New Balance 900’s and they rock!! Very lightweight but still supportive, only downside is that they are not so comfy without socks.

I race in Saucony Grid Fastwitch. Very lightweight and supportive. Can’t go wrong with that…

Ditto on the Saucony Fasttwitch. Great shoe for 10k and below.
Been racing in the Asics DS Trainer for years - give 'em a look. They’re super comfy right out of the box and work well with elastic laces and no socks. If you want lighter shoes, the DS Racer is also great, and they offer several other lightweight race shoes.

Try the new Vitruvians. They have a lower heel (9mm vs 12 in most trainers) and a very flexible front. To paraphrose Dr 'Dre from a recent thread. They (Vitruvians) feel heavy in the box, but you won’t believe how light they feel when run i them.
