Haven’t read it yet… don’t need to. Threads like that pop up over there every few months and then a bunch of people go over to defend the honor of the triathlete community… All because some little prepubescent looking 130 lb runner with a hard on because he ran his first sub 16 minute 5 k is getting jealous because triathlon is becoming a bit more of a main stream measure of endurance… And he can’t swim or bike. Sad really
Threads like this come up from time to time, that there is this real dislike or hatred between, swimmers and triathletes and cyclists and triathletes and runners and triathletes. Quite frankly, in my 20+ years associated with and as a participant in the sport of triathlon I have seen none of this. I swam with swimmers, cyclied with cyslists and ran with runners. Their always seemed to be a great deal of respect, back and forth. Perhaps I was missing something or lived a sheltered existance.

There are some babes in that sport (okay game… well fine, backyard canadian wanna be passtime.)

Such a good point Fleck,
I train with a local group of roadies (some of them are at a rather high level to) and they’re always respectful and impressed that i’ve done a swim that morning. Just like i’m amazed when they leave me and other guys in “drops-ville” … Polite dudes though and let up after they put a good margin into us.

I swim with a swimmer every time I and I never gotten pissed at myself for being a triathlete. Does that make everyone feel better about swimmers?
