I am looking for an all purpose banana hammock that will hug me right on the swim, run, and bike.

Kiwami produced a padded brief that fits the bill. I have one from a few years ago, and wear it underneath my kit *for sake of the families. * Race tested SBR.

These hold up well but are awfully slow for racing. I think you’d be better off with Lycra for racing.
These are just okay. Fine for not getting too hot during Zwift rides. For a race, the pad is not great and the overall look and cut is not great. It’d be fine for an Oly distance.
If you say so. They work for me at the IM distance.

True. We are all different, particularly when it comes to things like briefs. I should have referenced my trusty handbook when making the suggestion.
I am only looking at wearing these for sprint distance triathlons. I will sport the cut off tank top or T. Kinda like Lance from the 80’s.

I race olympic and sprints in a Speedo and I wear a Budgy Smuggler, or my Wattie Ink Speedo. Both work great!
Nope, no chafing here. The brief complements my LG Course kit without consequence. If I were to go old school (which is a good suggestion), I’d do it in Kiwami’s padded brief.
Although, as the other poster pointed out, YMMV.
And yes, we do need to think of the children.

I race in a ChampSys brief but only because it’s branded. It’s not padded at all and, in fact, is pretty see-through at this point. We’re working on getting some branded Tyr Durafast suits that have lasted me forever in training. They have no chamois but I usually only run in the Speedo since I can’t bear to give up the aero gains on the bike.

Not padded, is this your IM outfit? Not sure if i could do 30km on a bike with a brief and surely not 180km?

Get Budgy Smugglers. The Aussie brand that Tim Reed uses. They work for tri, comfy and fun designs as well.
I wear an LG M2 over it on the bike for aero. I’ve raced HIM with it, though, and didn’t find it too bad to be honest.
And yes, thankfully it’s black :-).
