Race number tattoo removal

Anybody have a good rec for getting these off?? I can’t remember what the back of the application said… maybe rubbing alcohol or peroxide?
Scrubbed with wet washcloth last night and got NOTHING!

depends on what they used, but my experience -not necessarily with race numbers  says that sharpie comes off the skin easily with acetone.

Sunscreen seems to work pretty good. Or, if you’re cute, you can just rub up against me, my body sheds body marking like water.

You had your race number tattooed on you?

rubbing alcohol works like a charm for me
.

Why would you want to remove it? It’s supposed to stay there until the skin sloughs off.

In Kona last year, I tanned/burned a little around the number, so even after the ink came off, I had a lighter untanned number that was visible for weeks!

You need to use a laser. Just make sure to keep it away from your face or groinal region.

HTFU - Brillo pad also exfoliates…

Your skin will love you… after a few weeks that is

baby oil works too.

100% best option- packing tape. (the clear stuff you’d use for moving). I always carry some in my travel bag to races. Apply it over the tattoo and remove. Tattoo will come off in one attempt.

mouth wash.

Thanks to all for the responses, humorous or helpful… Just tried the packing tape thing, and it works quite well!

Steel wool.

x2. Tape will work better than all the other things for the tatoos. Nail polish remover, baby oil, etc, won’t be nearly effective. Probably dont even need packing tape.

Felted soap. I know this sounds weird but give it a whirl. Works like a charm, safe, and cheap. Lots of Google resources out there on how to make it.

Baby oil. I use that plus a small nail brush. Apply the oil and rub it in (No, not there, you aren’t marked there), a bit of scrubbing with a brush and your arm / leg is clean. Wash off remaining oil in shower.

Baby oil.

Bleach it out by getting back into the pool.

Nail polish remover works like a charm.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but the way to do it on the ITU circuit (and those guys have a lot of decal numbers throughout the year) is to use the inside sticky portions of your luggage tags. This will work great if they are decal numbers (not as much for markers). Just press the sticky side on and rip off. Also a good second use for the luggage tags you’ll rip off your bike box.
