I’m not much of a complainer, things are what they are, serenity prayer kind of approach. I’m a hill person never too high or too low…but sometimes I envy the mountain people, those that can experience greater joy in things than me, but they’ve got some ugly valleys too.
ps. when I bitch it’s not bitching, it’s keenly perceptive observation.
My tri times are the acceptation
You shouldn’t take spelling hints from MJuric.
And tell Craigster about your quarter mary time from last month!!! It’s in the official results so it counts.
They corrected those results, so that won’t work. But I raced with Craig during my fatter days so all of my times are faster than then anyhow.
Thankful here! The wife and kids are doing well, got a roof, two mini vans and a dog!
I have a job I like, and still have!
My Mom and Dad came down to see the grandkids for the weekend, wife and I are sneeking off to dinner and then to make out in the back seat of our mini van and hide from the cops!!!
I was attempting to avoid the LR today because all the negativety has been a drag. Anyway, it’s 60 and sunny today and I got a good run in this morning. So, I’m happy. But, with hapiness comes the realization that my parents will be here in two hours to spend the next 5 days with us…
**It seems the people who do the most bitching on this forum are the ones who make more money than 95% of the population. Proving the adage that money can’t buy happiness. **
Someone whose rich and unhappy, is unhappy because he/she has a psychological problem, not because of the fact that he/she has too much money.
Someone who is poor and miserable and owing money to creditors, unable to fend for his family etc is almost certainly miserable because of a lack of money.
I guess you must be in the 95% category. I am sure you would be much happier if you were in that 5% category. But unless you change your beliefs about money and happiness, you will never get there because your subconscious will prevent it. Your belief is just a belief and unlike fact can be changed in a snap.
I am thankful for my lovely family, wife and five kids young enough to be my grand kids, our lovely home and the bright future ahead of us.
I am thankful that I am a human being with no physical deformaties or mental incapacities (at least I think so). In other words I am thankful that the world is my Oyster to enjoy as I choose.
That wouldn’t be you … the Doberman on Americas Funniest who goes bananas, attacks and bites his own paw for getting too close to his feeding bowl, would it?
Kingston Ontario Canada and it’s raining buckets!! I’m a Chef at a major University it’s a union house and people call in sick all the time but for what ever reason this week was bad!!! Starting Monday we were 6 people down and it just went that way the whole week!!! I’ve not experienced anything like this in the 10 years I’ve worked there every day we were at least 5 people down, but we pulled up our boot straps did the best we could and in my humble opinion we did an awesome job!! And I can not ever remember looking so forward to Friday in my life!!! I made it! I did it!!! We did It!! And it’s FRIDAY!!! Oh yeah it’s still raining…lol
Are you looking forward to Kenseth winning at Las Vegas on Sunday?
Nope. With the exception of Richard Petty of old, Dale Sr. And Mark Martin of old, I don’t root for front running teams, I’m really psyched about AJ Almendinger, Scott Speed, Tommy Baldwin Racing (Scott Riggs) There is alot of stuff going on this year that is alot of fun!!! I think this could be the year for a small team could make a run at the chase!! We will see, maybe a Allen Kolwiki(sp)will win the championship again!! Ya never know!
