Bought a Bkool Pro trainer on sale (50% off) and was very excited to replace my 5 year old fluid trainer. Have used TrainerRoad and recently been using Zwift. The problems I’m having with the trainer (or Zwift or the Bkool Simulator) are that on flat or downhills I can’t generate any power. My FTP is around 270 and in the big ring/small cog (compact setup, can’t remember the exact numbers) I spin out in the hardest combination when on flats or going downhill, RPM around 98-100, power around 190-210 watts. I’ve tried all different positions with the Zwift Trainer Difficulty slide and if I make it easier (which I think is supposed to make the resistance harder on downhills) then on flat courses I can’t sprint or get the power greater than 300 watts. I have been using BigRIngVR (which I really, really like) with good success but this is mostly because these rides are almost all climbing so there are few flat/downhill sections. But I feel like I should be able to get more out of the Bkool/Zwift combo. Any other Bkool owners out there? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to set up things better? Is this trainer performing as the manufacturer intended or could it be defective? Thanks for the help.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Have not set mine up yet-basement getting repainted…where did you get it for 50% off?
I bought it at a local bike shop. They had a few on sale and I got the last one. I’ve been in touch with Bkool support by email and they are setting up some phone support for me to trouble shoot in real time.
Have you set yours up yet? Does it seem to be working well for you?
My Bkool pro works fine, but I use their simulator, not Zwift.
