Question for those who tape their spare tubes under their seat

What do you tape them to, your rails or the seat post? Anyone have any photos?

I tuck my as far up between the rails as possible and tape it in there (along with the tire levers). Sorry, no pics.

Use an Adamo, place tube right between the rails and use 3/4" wide velcro strapping to secure it (along with tire levers and co2/inflator head) to the rails. A lot easier than trying to pull a tape roll around in that environment, it’s also weather-proof.

You could try this

.

I use one of the X-Lab straps to attach the spare tubes to the saddle rails, then I wrap electrical tape around the tubes and end of the saddle, which keeps everything nice and secure. This was the best pic I could find:

This shows 2 inner tubes, 2 tyre levers, 2 CO2 cartridges and adaptor, mini tool and a tyre boot.

Thanks!!!

I’m going to play with it today and try a few things.

Call me crazy, but I put a spare tube, CO2 inflator, and a tire lever inside a seat wedge and then put the wedge under my seat.

Keeps everything clean and dry. I could take it off if I thought I didn’t need this stuff. And I don’t need to mess with tape.

I strap mine to the seatpost through the rear hole on the cervelo post. It stays pretty well!

“I’d fuck me…”

Not looking for pretty on race day. Velcro strap around everything tight. Shove as tight under seat as possible, then electical tape under rails and over seat. Don’t use so much tape that is difficult to tear in 1 swift tug if you need to use it. Maybe 2-3 wraps tight slightly overlapping. The tape never leaves residue either.

+1. I always have 2 levers though, as I’ve had them snap before. My seat wedge of choice is the medium Timbuk2 wedge.
