Question for mods: is "law" also "politics"?

Do discussions of, say, SCOTUS decisions belong in the Lavender Room or in Politics is Life? Is it dependent on the case, so that if the case is a challenge to federal actions, it is political?

I would argue that SCOTUS is more political than jurisprudent these days.

I was thinking the same thing.

The 2A rulings thread has already been moved to PIL.

“Everything is politics”. Thomas Mann

I would say if you have to ask, you know it should go into politics.

The courts have to deal with the governance of the country. By definition it’s political.

Im all for keeping everything over there.
