It’s perfectly legal, but would you do it? I have to take my son to his soccer game tonight and it’s going to be 30 C at game time. Having a nice cold beer would make it more enjoyable.
However, I suspect I would get a bunch of looks from people who assume what I am drinking is alcoholic. At this point it’s probably not worth the hassle.
Under those circumstances, would it even be a big deal to have an alcoholic beer? I’ve seen parents enjoying a beer at their kids baseball game on a warm day. I don’t think anyone cares.
If you’re concerned you could always use a yeti can cooler sleeve or something to be more discreet. Which sounds ridiculous given its non-alcoholic beer.
I drink NA beer, but it is really only when I’m in the middle of other people drinking (pub/party/bar/etc…) I sort of just want to fit in with “beer” in my glass and it scratches my itch of tasting beer in those contexts, due to long term habits.
I do think it is reasonable to assume people think you are drinking actual beer with alcohol. Typically kids sporting events are not usual places for parents to be boozing, so you will be judged accordingly. At a kids ballgame, there are other better tasting beverages to drink and cool down with that are not NA beer.
You should drink the NA beer then when questioned by one of the Karen’s flip out as if completely intoxicated.
Also, when it’s hot out, anything cold is nice. A cold bubbly water hits almost as well as a cold beer. Maybe just save the hassle of the beer conversation and keep the “near beer” at home if you think the Karen’s will be upset.
It was a good game. BLeP Jr v2.0 went through a few players then had a glorious chance to bury it with his left foot. Faked the shot, pulled it back to his right foot and scored.
