Question for any C. soloist riders

if you have an aluminum or carbon cervelo soloist and ride the bike with STI shifters, what kind of system to you have to adjust the deraill. cables on the fly?

most bikes have screw-type barrel adjusters where the STI cable housing ends at the top of the downtube, but the soloists have no such adjusters. so what do you use? nothing? inline cable adjusters? other?

Do people actually use those things? I have them on my Colnago (Campy), but have never even thought of touching them. My Soloist (also Campy) is in the boat as yours, and again, never thought about it. If it needs adjusting, I do it at the RD.

My sti only has the barrel adjuster for the front deraileur, I took it off and used a piece of straight housing for the rear, I adjust the rear with the built in knob thing. Why does it matter if its a soloist or another frame?

I don’t have one! One of the drawbacks of internal cable routing. Obviously, the front never really needs adjusting. The rear really shouldn’t either, but if it does, just stop and use the barrel by the rear derailleur. No big deal.

is this a soloist or another type of bike? so where was your front deraill. barrel adjuster initially located on the cable run?

its a soloist, Origionally, the components were on a cannondale, I took off the in-line barrel adjuster for the rear because it was annoying that my deraileur could be adjusted from two points, I could never get the thing working right…until I took out the in-line barell adjuster.
