I’ve been told that the Nimbus VII would be a good shoe for me because I wear ortodics. I was about to buy pair when I noticed that the store had Nimbus VI for sale at less than half the price. Anyone know the difference between the shoes?
VI is last years shoe. Good shoe for neutral foot strike, and I guess that neutral makes a good platform for orthotics to do their job correctly. I have both, wearing the VI as I type and the VII is my hard surface trainer now. There isn’t much difference other than cosmetics between the two. I like them better than the NB I wore before.
The VII will run bigger in the sizing, plus some of the mesh was taken away near the toes, which strikes me as curious, because it’s usually the other way around. I’ve had people tell me that from switching to the VII, they feel their big toe rub on the medial side of the shoe, where as on the VI, there was just mesh there. Good shoe, high cushion. And try the shoe on before you get it and don’t have someone else tell you it’s a “good shoe”. Decide for yourself, because every company, yes, even Nike will make good shoes.
