I have have both of these in my garage and am building up a new bike, so I have a choice to make. My assumption is that there is no real difference in performance or ride quality, but if anyone out there has a different opinion please weigh in. I know I can send each to Calfee and for a minor fee they’ll check them over, but assume for now they are both about the same vintage (1999 or so) and both are in the same condition (about 3000 miles).
Depends on your front wheel choice. If it is wire spoked, then it doesn’t particularly matter. If it’s a 3-5 carbon spoke model, then use the Carbon Aero, as it has significantly better interaction with those types of wheels because of the blade separation.
