Bonktown’d mine. Love it.
I have a 4 year old Lucero and love it.
I got the bonktown special as well. I think you can do better for your money.
I’ve got a 2008 Caliente and love it! I do think that the 2008 models on back had a bit better bang for the buck. I love the new frames but not sure I’d drop the coin on one unless I just had money to burn.
I bought an 08 Seduza for $2k, and upgraded to a carbon crank. Great bike for the money. I could have spent a lot more money for marginal gains, but instead used the money I saved on a set of Hed Stingers (6/9 combination) and an aero helmet. I find it to be very fast and I gained about 2mph in my 40k (22 to 24mph) with this setup. However, the biggest thing is fit, because if it doesn’t fit you, you’re wasting money regardless of the deal you get…
Have a, first year, Lucero with DuraAce and it’s been great. 4X Ironman and countless other races on it. It’s been durable and I think is still every bit as good looking as some of the other newer models out there. The nude carbon still turns me on.
I’m 6’4" and I’ve got a 61cm 1996 black TeQuilo with HED Deep rear and CX front 650c wheels.
I’ve got a 2010 CD/0.1 and love it. It has all day comfort and it is fast.
QRs can be some awesome bikes, I’m riding a 2009 CD0.1 that I absolutely love. I’ve been racing triathlons since 1991 and have raced on almost every other manufacturers bikes during that time. The CD0.1 is best bike I’ve ever owned.
I’ve got a '09 Lucero Lite and love it. Replaced my previous rig, an '06 Trek E7, and couldn’t be happier. It’s a lot lighter (full carbon whereas the Trek was Al w/carbon fork) and handles well.

i’ve an '08 as well and it came with Real-Design Supersonic 60 wheels(the rebranded Flashpoint fp60 wheels), D/A and FSA Team Issue Carbon Cranks - so yeah, that was a better value than today’s component spec.
the ride is comfy but efficient-feeling especially with the good wheels on(i’m logging lots of miles with a powertap/openpro.) while i want to replace the vision cockpit with an Easton Attack one-piece bar, the couple of times i’ve let the bike fall over make me glad i still have the aluminum bars. other replacements/upgrades: 172.5/130mm cranks for 170/110 cranks(ebay), trishuttle to move the seat even more forward, selle SMP evolution saddle to replace the painful QR logo saddle, shimano brake pads, Conti attack/force tires to replace the crappy Conti Ultra Race skins.
in '08, the price would have been $3600, but i was able to get it for $2500 - still a lot of money, but very worth it considering it came with race-ready wheels.
2010 cd01 ultegra and only a few issues:
-they ship the larger bikes (L/XL) with smallish (250mm) clip-ons so I had to swap them out during fitting, probably not an issue on the smaller size frames however.
-the stock saddle is terrible (although I wasn’t expecting much)
-would it kill QR to ship the bike with some aero base bars?
Gripes aside, I love the bike.

I bought mine in late '08 and paid about the same as you. Hard to beat the Dura Ace/FSA crank combo with the supersonics! I’d like to have a lighter cockpit but the Vision base bar/aero bar works fine for me.
I’m still rocking a 2001 TiPhoon. i think about the olnly thing I’d trade for is a Blade or a Lynskey
I have a Seduza. The bike is really nice except I find it very flexible and wobbly at speed. I bought it when it came with d/a-Ultegra mix so for the price the bike was right.
I had a Private Reserve before that and although it was alum and weighed more, I was actually faster on it bacause it was stiffer, go figure.

I have a 2008 Seduza and I love it. Had a 2003 Tequilo before the Seduza. Next bike a 2011 Cd 0.1? Working on it.
Bump- Been shopping around, and the '10 QR Seduza looks to be a good fit for me. I’m extremely new at this Tri thing (especially cycling), but I’m really enjoying it. I’ve been in the 21-22mph neighborhood on my too-small-for-me roadie, and I’d like to step up to something a little nicer. Unfortunately for me, I don’t have the bankroll for anything much beyond $2k. Anyone with experience on the latest edition of the Seduza? Worth the money, should I be looking at something else?
I got an '06 Caliente to replace my Trek E7. The Caliente is 1.5lbs lighter, but I liked my E7 a little more. I think it’s the 76 degree geometry on the older QR that is my problem with the bike. But it’s too short for me to get the shuttle or newer forward set seat post. I think the E7 was a little more stable at speed, too.

I have been riding the Lucero for 4 yrs it is pretty much the Seduza frame, very happy with it.
You should look at the 2011 B-16 (1,999.00)just about the same hardware and price.
