Q #2 for Slowman, Mike Plumb, Pooks, Julian, etc

Guys-

I’m here in N. County San Diego & was wondering when the next Epic ride was going to be. It sounded like an awesome time.

Thanks,
RD

Plumb does that kind of ride all the time (he lacks a “real job”). I’m only good for that sort of thing once a season. I had to hold the cell phone a foot from my ear when I called my wife and said I was (finally) on the way home at 5:30. I will pay penance for that ride for the next year.

A group meets at that little church every Wed at 9 am.

I’m game for that sort of thing anytime after Wildflower.

the day varies, but I like to try to do a ride like that once a week once I get going. I am actually toying with the idea of doing that ride twice a week, once during the week and once on the weekends if I can find the time.

There is a group that meets at the church in Bonsall every Wednesday at 9am, but their ride does take a long time to cover the distance. I don’t like to stop as much (although I do take a couple of stops). Part of the problem with a larger group like that is that there are always mishaps along the way that you can’t always avoid, flats, broken spokes etc. The larger the group, the more likelyhood of these happening. I think we started off with about 25 people last week, although not all had planned on doing the whole ride. We finished with about 6.

Pooks,

Are you going the way of “Sean Boyle” and giving up the real world to train for Wildflower???

No fair taking days off to work!
