i have an opportunity to buy PUMA running shoes direct from a dealer but I havent heard about any model they do… Mostly I would like a lightweight trainer, to race Ironman.
ANy suggestion?

I really like the Prevail except for one problem. The insole worked it’s way out of the back of the shoe during a training run. No biggie, I took off the shoe and repositioned it. Then it happened a few more times over the next few runs. I put a different Puma insole in it and it seemed fine after a couple test runs so I wore them in a 1/2 marathon. By mile 1 the insole had worked it’s way out of position again and by the end of the race it had curled around over the top of my foot. The local Puma rep assured me that they are fixing this problem for future production runs of this shoe. Other than that I feel it would make a great marathon/IM shoe.
We talked about these a little last week. Probably not an IM shoe though…unless you keep them for the final 13.1 mile kick in your special needs bag…

The team I am on is sponsored by Puma so obviously a lot of the guys (and girls) run in them. The Complete Belus is their racing flat and most of the fast guys on the team love them. I ran in them once and they felt nice but they run too narrow for my feet.
As I said above, the Complete Prevail will be a great shoe once they get the insole situation figured out.
I have the Complete Phasis III, it’s a good every day cushioned shoe. Not as cushy as the Asics Nimbus but what shoe is?
The Complete Heras III is another lightweight trainer but I have so many shoes I haven’t really gotten to use them yet.
Thanks all for the inputs,
Sevans, I´m really considering the Heras III, seems like the Prevail and Phasis are also good ones, I might get them all and test myself ![]()
BTW, discounted 25% off, so not really huge deal.
