Lately I’ve been experimenting with adding in protein powder after my sessions and have noticed that I don’t binge eat so often. Great. So naturally, I resorted to what I used a few years ago—a hemp/pea/rice protein blend. However, that blend is a little unpleasant to digest.
Does anyone have any suggestions for style of protein (not necessarily brand… I buy in bulk from TrueNutrition)?
Is there a particular brand of whey protein isolate that you like? I’m currently using The Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% whey protein isolate. It doesn’t say anything about being grass-fed, but other than that it seems to check all the boxes, tastes good (double chocolate) and is easy to order off Amazon. However, it’s the only one I’ve tried so I don’t know if there are better options out there.
I’m in Australia and have been using this one for years. Personally I only eat grass fed animal products like beef, lamb and whey protein as that is their natural diet.
