Prostatitis no more - the SLK saddle did the trick

In the hopes that this could help any of my fellow dudes, I’m MORE than happy to report that I have apparently found a saddle that is both comfortable AND does not cause that extremely annoying prostatitis condition that I had experienced this year for the first time.

I had been riding on the only saddle I have ever found truly “all day comfortable”, the tiny little Selle SLR, and was really worried that I’d not find another that fit me as well and was “prostate friendly”. I was wrong.

The Selle SLK has nearly the same dimensions, but is sliced up the middle from the rear. I can’t really even tell a difference in the fit/feel, but apparently my insides can. It has been more than a month since I have been on the saddle and many many miles, with absolutely no reoccurence of the condition. The only drag is that its about 50g heavier, but still very light compared to most saddles.

To say I am delighted is a huge understatement. One does not realize what a joy it is to walk up to a toilet and pee until one cannot do so.

Thanks for sharing (?) Glad you got the schwing back in your ding.

I also have not been happier since I switched to th SLK.

Are you using this on a road or tri bike? Looks like it would be great on a roadie but if you’re nose riding it looks pretty uncomfortable up there (compared to my Nerf TriStryke andyway

(it is more of a road bike) I had this saddle with me at the beach for 10 days of almost pure aerobar riding - still perfect comfort.

Gotcha.

I love finding the perfect item - when I finally stumbled across the Mizuno Rider a few years back I almost cried I was so happy.
