I have one on order, but looking at the new photo of it - how do you fill it on the course? It looks like you have to remove the straws, open the lids and fill it through tiny openings! I’d rather have those awful yellow mesh things.
I’ve seen two prototype pictures online- both have fill caps with star cut center opening (like the fast food drink lids do for a straw) where you can jam a squirt bottle opening into to refill it. The drink straws for the Aquacell don’t come out of those openings-- but rather are located next to the fill caps (just as the current aero bottle has them). I believe they are using these new covered fill caps in place of the mesh sponges of old- which didn’t work so well.

I’ve seen two apparently very different designs at various retail websites.
So, what do these things really look like?

I’ve got one on order and is supposed to get to me at some point here… I just hope it’s not that god-awful blue (btw, blue is my favorite color…I just think the use of it was pitiful). I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be the grey/black.
Just got mine tonight from trisports. Black and white.
Any body can explain me how to put the elastic bands around it or the best way to put them or the most effective way to tight it to the aereobars thanks
.
the elastics go this way:
put the thing between your bars, hopefully it jams in ok
-put one elasttic around the bottom, pull it up the side, give it a half twist, then loop it over the rim
-put the other elastic around teh bottome, then put it up the other side, also with a twist
hard to describe
-basically you should see an “X” on each side
.
I got mine last week and was able to use it a ride or two. Got it from http://3-athlon.com/.
It is awesome! I don’t think the PD website states this but the second (16oz) chamber is removable. You can fill it and freeze it to keep the 32 oz chamber cold and then drink it when it melts… nice feature.
The tops are easy to fill on the fly and also prevents you from getting a face full of your fav drink.
Also note that it is the black one above not the one with the blue graphics.

How does that work? I have a similar design from another company that is a couple years old now, can’t remember the name. The biggest pain in the ass is getting the lower chamber clean. First time I used it I put a sports drink in the lower chamber not thinking about the cleaning issue. Caused a few “Mold growth” spots that I never really got out and couldn’t get to.
I suspect having the lower chamber come off would fix that, but not sure how exactly they stick together, can’t tell from the pick.

Correction… the first chamber is 38 oz not 32 oz…
The entire 16oz chamber fits inside the 38oz chamber. You can’t really see it in the pic but you can pull it out. This makes cleaning very easy b/c once you remove the smaller chamber, you have access to the inside of the entire larger chamber. Very well though out design.
Sweet! I had no idea there was a breakaway container! That just made my day! Can’t wait til mine gets here!
