Profile Design Aeria stem vs 1/seventeen or others

Anyone have any feedback on the Profile Design Aeria stem? Nice clean look but is it stable with only the 2 front bolts? Haven’t seen many reviews or comments about this stem.

I need a -17 degree stem, any others worth checking out? I am planning on using zip ties on the stem for my BTA and having a nice flat surface would help keep it level instead of having something with the raised bits in the front. I have my extensions angled up 12-15 degrees so I want to avoid angling up the BTA as well.

Maybe just get the Speedfil A2 stem mount for the BTA?

Just a x lab gorilla cage zip tied with a normal bottle.

Yup, very nice but still not available. Right?

Anything that would allow the extension to be angled up and keep the bta relatively flat.

A flat stem with zip ties seams like it would work well and be a cheap solution.

Yeah, good catch - I didn’t realize it wasn’t available yet. Even the original Sigma would be an option, but they aren’t listed on the website, anymore.

I forgot I have one of those lying around somewhere. It works pretty well, and is definitely worth considering if you’re doing a regular bottle. I tried using it with the Speedfil A2, but it put the bottle back too far so the straw was in an awkward location with my setup at the time.

I ran a-17* Zipp stem and it was great on one of my road bikes. Price isn’t bad and they look great too.

Anyone use or have feedback on the Aeria Stem?

Purchased the aeria stem.

Very sleek, but my profile design prosvet carbon base bar is slipping with the stem torqued to 6 Nm (rec. max). Is this typical? What to do?
-Torque above 6 Nm
-Get some carbon friction paste
-Get a new stem that doesn’t slip

Definitely try carbon paste. I find that it works well and is needed for a lot of carbon cockpit components.
