just got one. picking it up this Saturday & racing Sunday (with it.) I have always liked racing with my old school bottles on the frame but after I purchased a super bike (SC 9), I started looking at the details of being aero.

have you used this bottle yet? any problems that I should be aware of? I had the old-school between the bars profile drink bottle years ago, but every bump in the road resulted in fluid all over my frame, my glasses and face (sorry, sounds likes a dirty porn.) I wonder if this set-up will do the same?
I have it, love it. It replaced a ghetto version I made last year.
My only issue is straw placement when I am turtling, it can hit my neck, but that’s relatively minor. Some people might have some issues regarding computer mount and such.
I just got it but I still have to test it out in the real world before cutting or changing the straw. I just strapped the cage (took off the mount and brackets) via zip ties.
I have it and like it thus far, no issues. I’ve only been on one 60 mile ride with it, but I don’t see this bottle having any splashing issues, and I was riding over roads rough enough to launch my BTS bottles a few times. The straw is a nice tight fit.
The main complaints seem to be:
Computer might be too hard to see when using the AC’s mount, but this all depends on your position. My computer was on my stem already, so the AC actually makes mine easier to read.
Your bars need to be 6.75cm apart, center to center, to use the mount that comes with the system. I hope I got that number correct.
Thanks, I just wear my watch. I used to mount it on the bar using the profile design extension mount but I kinda got used to looking at my watch on the wrist after a while.
my best races are when I don’t use a computer. so I stopped using a computer years ago. (that’s another story and won’t be a problem for me.) I guess I will use my Bontrager cage like some (in another thread) have suggested is the best fit with this bottle and sell the mount it came with to someone who uses a computer could benefit from it.
does anyone want to buy my mount? I just want the bottle.
I have used mine on two rides now and it’s great! I ended up cutting over half of the straw. My computer is actually angled forward on the mount and is easily viewed by looking down. Great system though no leaks and tight fit. I did have to separate my bars a few mm to get it between them, no big deal.
