All of my shoes are setup with the XPEDO cleats that are used with Powertap P1/P2 pedals. I would like to get a set of cheap ‘dumb’ pedals that are compatible with this cleat.
i’ve heard people say they work, but not perfectly with keo, so why not just get xpedo pedals? they can be had cheap on ebay and are good quality. i have 3 pairs in addition to my PT pedals.
I’ve been using that exact pedal with my powertap cleats on a road bike hooked up to a Tacx Neo2. Powertap pedals are on the tri bike for outdoor riding. I’ve had no issues using the powertap cleats on both. Editing to add that I recently bought a new pair of shoes and bought a pair of look keo cleats at the same time. And while those cleats also worked on both pedals, I’d say they worked less well so picked up another set of the powertap cleats.
I mix and match them successfully between PowerTap P1 pedals, Garmin KEO pedals, and Favero Assioma pedals. But in general a ‘clean’/‘new’ set of cleats will be a bit hard to snap in/out of between them. Whereas once you’ve got them looking a bit more used, it feels like normal cleats that work as they should between the units.
Just go for a quick few hundred meter run in them on some pavement, and you’ll be good to go. Consider it transition practice or something.
