Powerman Muncie report

All:

The 1st Powerman Muncie Duathlon is now history and the Men went Joerie Vansteelant 2:39, Anthony Le Duey and Mathew Russell with the Ladies going Michelle Parsons 3:08, Emily Shoopman and Anne Curi Presig. See all the results at www.munciemultisport.com

The Men from US ProTri also had an impressive showing with Zach Ruble 4, Nick Wanniger and Ryan Guilanio racing as well.

Plus, Patrica Driscoll from VT. won the Aerocat on the first draw! She was the 3rd person to enter the race way back in Jan. 2010 and stayed at our host hotel the Signature Inn.

The 2011 Powerman Muncie will be Oct. 1 and will be held at the same outstanding venue in Muncie Indiana.

Registration is already open at Powerman Muncie 2011. The early price will only be good for a limited time!

Very challenging race, well organized again by Muncie Multisport and Powerman, the course is rolling hills and makes for a tough run (especially the 2nd run) and the bike is not pancake flat b/c it’s around the resevoir, so you get enough rollers to break it up a little bit. I would recommend the race it to anyone in the midwest area to finish off a season of triathlon racing (or for those headed to Clearwater or Ironman Florida as a training race). I hope duathlons catch on a bit more, as a complement to the triathlon calender. In the midwest you could be racing Duathlon as early as March, and race them into late October.

What a great race!!! Powerman and MMS are a great combination!!!
