Has anyone had any experience with Postural Restoration in physical therapy? My PT started me on a program that will help fix my alignment and imbalances. This seems to be a fairly new technique or not a widely used technique, so I’m curious about what it has done for others.
You would have to post a lot of personal information for anyone to really comment. Then again, without first hand inspection, comments are not going to mean too much.

Assuming we’re talking about the same thing, I am having huge success.
Gave up training about 18 months ago due to back/hip/hamstring issues and pain. Bro-in-law turned me on to his PT who went to a postural restoration school. Saw him 3 times and with the various exercises he gave me I was mostly pain free after 3 visits. I saw 6 different doctors, 2 chiropractors, and 4 different PT’s, massage, ART and probably others prior to seeing this guy. None were able to help me at all.
Unfortunately as I was starting to get going with training again I tore screwed up my knee and have to get it scoped next week.
My PT is also trained in Postual Restoration. Over the years my training has caused me to have lots of issues with my hip, knee and shoulders. I’m seeing now, these issues have been caused by my misalignment. Some of the exercises that I’m doing are complicated and aren’t really fun but I think it is working. I guess, I feel a little skeptical that in time my body will revert back it’s old positioning. Did they give you a program that you do once PT is over?
Thanks,
Mike
