I currently have an ism pn 3.1. it’s okay and seems to work for most. I had some initial issues with it but made some fit adjustments and that helped some but I’m still not sure it’s the best saddle for me. After reading slowman’s review of the selle smp t2 saddle I’m curious about that saddle. I know this saddle doesn’t cut off the nose it just tips it down. How would I position this saddle compared to my selle smp t2 saddle?
Hi. I got the T2 about three weeks ago, after buying just about every saddle ISM makes and eventually not being happy with them. (I also tried several Cobb and a sitero in a fitting session, but didn’t like them either.) The ISMs were the best, but I got a lot of chafing and soreness after an hour.
The T2 is the best saddle I’ve used - yesterday I did a 2 hour session of over-unders and only stood to shift around once. Sooo comfy!
As for setup, I ended up having to move the saddle a lot farther forward than I anticipated. I set it so the saddle height was the same and matched front-back the wide portions of both saddles. After a few rides I moved the T2 forward by about 2cm, and that feels just about right. The angle of the rails compensates for saddle height when you move it forward and back, which is super helpful.
Hope that helps.
that helps thanks. I’ll probably wait until I find a sale or get one early next season as my tri season is done so pointless to get it during a time I won’t be riding my my tri bike much. I probably do the same as far as setting the front-back and just see what works.

This. The “T” series saddles are great, but you sit on them like a normal road saddle, so they must move forward. Sometimes getting them far enough forward on certain bikes can be a challenge.
