Pope Leo could be Pope for another 10-15 years, so it is reasonable to have a thread that discusses not just the process by which he was elected but the policies he advances while Pope.

Interesting to note that Leo is the first Augustinian friar to become pontiff. Same order as Martin Luther, St Thomas of Villanova and Gregor Mendel. He graduated from Villanova in 1977.
Just heard an interesting account on chicago radio:
Quite a while ago, a local journalist reached out by email to this cardinal to ask about sex abuse cases in the Chicago area that occurred under Cardinal Prevost’s watch. Got a reply which was, essentially, ‘how can I be of service’?
Journalist reached out again many many many times with the specific questions.
Not a single reply.
That ain’t good.
