What race consistantly has the fastest times?
I know that the Gulf Coast Triathlon in Panama City Beach is very fast. Pancake flat, can get hot and humid though.
very likely Eagleman. 3.44-3.47-3.47-.3.53 for the last 4 years.
tauranga is pretty fast. in 340s too. kieran doe went 2.04 on bike.
likely means it’s short…
Eagleman; fast course and fast crowd!
it’s not short. him and stephen sheldrake, who also went 2.04, were accused of drafting by cameron brown tho. heh
Shepparton in Victoria Australia is pretty fast too. Bell did about 3:45 last year. Never done it - who knows if it is short?
Eagleman always runs short…forgot about Panama City…PC is faster than Eagleman.
The Canadian Half (Ottawa, Ontario; www.somersault.ca) is also a fast course. The past two years have each had 21% of finishers under 5 hours. By comparison, Eagleman '04 had 29% sub-five, but we all know the calibre of the crowd that races Eagleman and therefore can expect an inordinate number of fast times. The 21% at The Canadian is pretty impressive, I think, given that it is generally a proletariat type of crowd.
My computer had the bike short.
g, crushed by the kiwi lads in 2004
how short?
i think mine was pretty spot on 90kms.
stephen sheldrake and kieran doe are pretty solid riders.
2h04’ on the rough kiwi roads that’s not pretty solid…that’s awesome…specially if you have to run off the bike…
this course has speed bumps in it to negotiate too
