Polar BIke Mount

I recently purchased a Polar S720i HRM. I’m trying to put the bike mount on my bike but I can’t find a good place to put it and I was wondering if anyone has any good ideals? I have drop handlebars with clip-on aerobars and it just doesn’t seem to fit anywhere. Does Polar make a mount that swivels, so I can put it on my stem? I welcome any input. Thanks

Look for “The Knob”. It’s a plastic stub made for bike computers that will attach to your stem, and then you can put the Polar mount on it.

firek9dfd,

Profile makes a computer mount that you can attach to clip-ons, aero bars, stems, etc. Its a little longer than the Knob and enables you more room to secure your monitor, cyclometer or whatever. I’ve tried both and prefer the Profile FWIW.

I think the nob may be too short for what you are trying.

I’ll second the Profile computer mount. It fit nicely on my C2’s in the narrow section close to the Stem and was perfect for the Polar mount.

The “Knob” was the Cronometro Nob, it has been rebranded as the Issimo Nob, and soon the Nob XL (wider to better hold heart rate monitors)will be hitting bike shops everywhere.

PVC pipe, 2 zip ties and about five minutes of labor is the answer.

1 - find (and cut) PVC section approx 3/4" x width of your aero bars

2 - drill or ream 2 holes in PVC on both ends

3 - Zip tie to aero bar

If you have a belt sander you can profile the ends of the PVC to lap around your aero bar, but this isn’t really necessary.

This is a painless DIY that actually works better than anything you can buy

I have the same set up. 720 with c-2’s set wide. I just used two zip ties through the holes that are in the Polar bike mount. Pull them tight and cut off the ends. It has to be lighter than the Knob. It took a few locations before I was in love I have it an inch up on the bar from my base. Good luck I can probably send pics if need be.
