and if it matters…right now mostly for indoor lap swimming. thank you.

Dunk your goggles in the water. Shake the water out. Spit copiously in each socket, rub around with finger. Rinse, shake water out, put on.

Swedish googles, no spray, just don’t let any Aquaphor or sunscreen get on the inside or you’ll be swimming blind (been there, done that). -k

Just make sure to rinse the goggles thoroughly after applying it and letting it sit for about 30-60sec. It burns pretty badly if it gets in your eyes.
As someone who swims a bunch, I’ve got tired of the ‘natural’ approach (I.e. Spit)… I am totally sold on Barracuda Defogger http://www.skylinenw.com/p-32-defogger.aspx…
This stuff works great, better than the TYR spray. I apply it AFTER swimming. Dry goggles, apply, then leave overnight until next swim. Quick rinse when getting in, and you have hours of fog free. Just don’t take the goggles off during the workout. I find you just need to leave them on and don’t mess with more air/rinsing.

what he said. I also got some of the speedo stuff and it isn’t even close to being as good FWIW. I have to order mine online though, no one here carries it.
spit. works amazingly well - but I almost only swim in saltwater
I swim with TYR Special Ops goggles which are pretty notorious for fogging up. I’ve had good luck getting using SBR Foggle every 3rd or 4th swim.
1 part baby shampoo, 20 parts water. Put it in a little travel dispenser bottle. It works.
Just a little hand soap or shower gel and rinse out with clean water. Before every swin, works well for me.
Rain x anti fog, yup same stuff used for car windows. Dirt cheap and effective, just rinse first. Also works great on cycling glasses. I commute through the winter on my bike and keeps things fog free when I hit a stop light. Without, I’m blind by the time it turns green.
plain toothpaste. Smear a thin layer on the inside, then dunk it in water a couple times
Leave a little water inside your goggles while swimming.
When the fog starts, look down a little to allow the water to clear the fog.
I sweat a bunch and this has worked best for me.

This is the best method with any anti fog on the market. You need to allow time for the anti fog to bond to the lens. Once the antifog has dried on the lens, try not to touch the inside of the lens.
I don’t recommend toothpaste as in many toothpastes you will find some grit, which will scratch the lenses. Further, this is an old divers trick for glass masks, not plastic lenses.
If you are to try a home remedy, baby shampoo is usually the best option. I don’t think there is a goggle manufacturer that will recommend this officially, but it does typically work.

I like Foggies: http://www.sbrsportsinc.com/foggle.html
They’re wipes instead of a spray, so you clean the lens at the same time.
As with the other anti-fog types, don’t touch the lens with your fingers afterward or you’ll reintroduce oils and other crap that fog will cling to.

i use a mixture of half baby shampoo, half water - swish a little around and rinse. works like a charm inside and out.
