I am trying to find out if anyone knows if Planet X still makes the 101 front because I do not see it being offered on their website right now. Secondly, has anyone ridden these wheels and what has their experience been with them. I have ridden a set of Blackwell research wheels may times and since they are hard to get a hold of I am looking for something comparable that will not require me to get a second mortgage.

Took my 82/101 set out for its maiden voyage yesterday… very impressed! granted only one ride in but as nice and clean as they looked out of the box they rode equally as well. you cant beat the price.
Agee, I have several rides on mine, a few Sprint distance Tris and a TT and I’ve got no complaints. Definately worth the $$. My set was built using CX-Ray spokes so they are a bit lighter than the stock wheels (750f/960r 1710 grams total). My only complaint was “AFTER” I glued my tires on, something appears to be inside the rim bouncing around. Noise disapears at about 2mph so I never really notice it. My guess will be once I pull the tire off is someone dropped a nipple in there when building up the wheel and never pulled it out.

I’ve used the BW100 front for racing. I sold that and purchased the PX101/82. I’m training on the pair and using the 82 and a zipp disc for racing. The PX are great wheels at a great price. No one can touch these wheels at this price point.
If you contact PX-USA they will sell you a 101/101 set. I had inquired about this a few months ago and they said they could sell me a front 101 to go with my rear 101.
I sent Planet X an email just a couple of minutes ago and he said they are not offering anything bigger than a 82 front. I guess they have stopped selling them.
