Place to swim in Stratton VT

Hi traveling through Stratton VT this week. Looking for a place to swim and or masters team that allows drop ins?

not sure of where do swim down there, there is the Spring House at Okemo that allows session purchases, but you have to make a lane reservation or you will be SOL.

Looks like something similar at something called the traininng and fitness center at Stratton mtn or this town park down in Manchester

can go off the state park beach in Tyson VT at Echo Lake (1 hr) . Not sure of lakes near Stratton.

I know there’s a nice pool in Springfield, VT. I’ve seen it myself and I have a friend who swims there regularly. I’m in the northeast of the state so haven’t been down to Stratton in decades. I do remember the skiing was really fun back in the late 80s and 90s. Would love to visit that area again someday! Long drive from here though!

I’ve stayed at the Equinox in Manchester. Nice indoor pool there, which I think is 25 yards. It’s in a building separate from the main hotel, so maybe you could sneak in.

Afterthought…

I don’t really know what’s going on in the the southern part of the state for masters but if you did travel up to Stowe, there is a masters program going on right now. I swam there all winter from Oct to end of March doing masters driving quite far to do this from the NEK. Then I did drop in masters once a week from April to end of June. Now I’m swimming in the university pool once a week in Johnson, VT and doing the rest of my swimming in the open water. But you could get a drop in pass and do masters M-W-Fs in Stowe. I used to live outside of Burlington (before Covid) and there is a fantastic masters program I swam in for 5 years. They had to be shut down and won’t start up again until Sept. That is another option if you care to drive up to the Burlington area.

Stowe is touristy and very busy but there’s a reason so many people go there. It’s nice! And the pool there (the Swimming Hole) is one of the best 25 meter pools I’ve swam in so far.
