Ultimately looking for input on what everyone uses to hold endurolytes while racing. Been using a ziplock baggie but that only seems to contain the paste the pills turn into after sweat always seems to find its way in. Looking for a alternative to taking a handfull before a race.
This works well on the bike and run:
A tictac dispenser works fairly well if you don’t overfill it in the beginning. You may need to take two or three with you for an Ironman, but it’ll keep your pills dry and you can manage it with one hand on the bike. Good luck!
THis is what I used in my last IM
I have used the M & M container but the smell that is left from the M & M I cant take.
Also the container fits in my back pocket of my singlet better because its almost flat rather than round.
You can fit more salt tablets then you need in it.
Spider
plastic 35mm film containers work great.
I use a small Tylenol travel case to hold salt tabs and/or advil, etc. Its about the size of lipstick and keeps everything dry and easy to access.
Starbuck’s gum/mint container. The only problem is that when your supply starts to run low, you hear clank…clank…clank.
i second the film case. Stick a little guaze in the bottom and they don’t rattle at all either.
There is a over-priced product called “zipp-fizz” which is big in stores around here. The canisters are half the size of a mini-m&ms container and the perfect size for Lava Salts. Works for me.
I always know i can count on the community here for great ideas. Thanks to all that replied.

Reeses pieces candies come in this long plastic tube with a flip-top lid that works perfectly. You can just flip the cap up and dump the tablets right in your mouth without worrying about dropping them or having to fish around a bag for them.
Here is what I do for long course races:
I take zip lock bags and cut off the bottom corners, such that I am left with a 1" X 1" right triangle with two closed ends. Insert salt tablets and/or other pills. Burn then open end closed (you can snap it into a CD jewel case with the open end barely sticking out and then run a lighter along the edge). The result is a tiny, water/sweat-proof triangle packet. I tape a couple to my bike and safety pin a couple to my race belt. When you yank them off your race belt, it tears them open so you can just pop them in your mouth with little or no prob.
