Looks beautiful… drool
Nice!
Pretty slick lookin. Nice work.
The setup looks very nice. But something is wrong with either the size of the frame or the fit as you have almost no drop.

She’s a beaut!
Hey - how do you like those shifters? Pros/cons? I’ve heard they can be finicky to install.
Gorgeous!
But the seat’s too low
lets see the motor
.
Hard to judge someones fit based on a picture without them on their bike. Maybe they have short arms, maybe they don’t like riding low, maybe they do a semi-superman to keep their torso low but keep more weight on their ass, lots of maybes but only they know if the bike fits the way they want. Just for instance, Levi Leipheimer has about 1/2 the drop of Norman Stadler but has an equally level, if not moreso upper body.
Anywho, I’m curious about the gap between the front wheel and the downtube. Is this because the smaller frame sizes have a longer rake?
it looks better than the Boyd

( i had to revisit this thread. it seemed oddly familiar )

Jon h, JSA, shmeeg,
Thank you for the compliment guys.
Mach5,
Thank you for the compliment. I made numerous trips and had not one, not two, but three different bike fits just to ensure the proper fit. Last fit was done using the retule system. The bike is a truly nice fit. Short arms (shoulder to elbow) but still vertical. So muchso that I’ll possibly post a pic as I almost feel that my aero position looks a little more horizontal than yours (no disrespect intended). Again, due to the shorter arms. I also intend to to take another spacer off in the future if need be, but for now, I’m extremely comfortable.
By the way, great taste in bikes, lol. cheers.

lack of drop does not imply that something is wrong with the bike or the fit
levi leipheimer has no drop and is one of the greatest TTers in the world.
it just means your upper arms are short relative to your legs.
or that you don’t want to get real low for some reason.

Murphy’sLaw,
Thank you.
Shifters work great!! There was a slight shifting issue at the front crank when the LBS initially assembled it. However, just required some additional tweaking of the front derailleur…works great and flawlessly. Pros: shifting is smooth and dead-on precise. Doesn’t require alot of wrist/forearm strength to shift. Return to center every single time. I would definitely recommend them.
No cons as of yet.

Thank you.
Are you sure you didn’t mean to say my seat is too “high”, lol.

I’ll give you a description in the meantime…short and ugly.
5’4’’ about 150 lbs. I’ll try and get a picture up soon.

No, my background is yellow, lol.
I can definitely see why it looked familiar. That Boyd is a good looking bike.
Thank you for the compliment.

Eh, either way. It’s a killer ride. Let’s see you on it!
Sorry, bad attempt at humor. Will try and take some pictures over the weekend if weather permits…rain predicted all week.

Awesome. No X-Lab parachute behind the seat or bento box. No retarded, useless spare tubular 800 gels clipped to the top tube. You’re ready to overcook the hell out of the bike leg and walk your half mary. I’m in.
Should I NOT have a spare tube and tire iron underneath my seat? Is it THAT detrimental to my time?
