Pick an aero helmet for me [Pic]

I’m in the market for an aero helmet. I’ve heard based on position and the curve of your back some helmets work better for or worse. Any thoughts on a helmet that would work for me?

Thanks

But no. I hear the new Lazer Tardis has an extra ‘fairing’ which can be adjusted down to the back with a small screw wheel thing. That might give you some addition customization

You can’t go wrong with the Giro Advantage 2
.

For Tri or TT? There isn’t a whole lot of of variation in time savings between aero helmets. Is is measureable? Yes. In Tri will the milliseconds in savings in one model vs. another matter as much as in a TT? I don’t think so. I’d go with the make that fits you the most comfortably so you can focus on output rather than fidgeting with an uncomfortable helmet, costing you millionths of a second.

A very big one… by any chance one of your parents Gautamalian ? I jest I would go with a Limar crono ,the tails not to big and can be used in training besides racing. Oh and go shave you look like a out of work mama’s boy

WTF?

Bored and playing just being a bit goofy, I do like the Limar crono. It is also light comes in a carbon fibre photprint

This one might fit, a nice looking helmet:

completely off topic… why do people like to ride on their forearms? if you move an inch forward you wouldn’t have to use any muscles to support your upper body weight.

LAS Crono with a built in visor…(a) don’;t have to deal with glasses (b) sweat drips to the road - not into the glasses making it impossible to see, and (c) they are very cool (temperature wise). I have a spare I could sell you…retails for $225 +/-…this one has a slight cosmetic defect form trying to remove sticker goo. Silver, comes with a smoke and amber visor. Fantastic helmets…looks like this…but I removed the LAS decals:

if you ride just on your elbows it annoys a pressure point.

I’d recommend the Spiuk Chronos. Your head is fairly high and your back profile is flat. Chris Lieto has a similar profile:

This assumes that you ride most of the time with your head in this position, and don’t look down a lot (in that case a more rounded helmet like the Giro or Wingspan would probably be better).

What about when you move your head around. That tail looks like a big speed break.

Thanks everyone for the advice. Hey you mentioned I have a similar profile as Lieto. Too bad I don’t ride like him. Haha

Your saddle is too high… it caused the top of the pic to be cut off.

interesting, I’ve never had a problem with that before…

So many nice helmets. But you have to borrow a few and try them to see how they fit re: back/helmet interface. As an example, the bell is lovely but doesn’t fit me as well as the garneau

LOL…omg laff. My wife and I got a good laugh from that. A good laugh is supposed to be healthly. You just assisted in our recovery. Thanks

If you want a visor, you can also consider the 2010 Catlike Chrono.
