Philadelphia Triathlon/Elite Bikes

What a great first time event. So well run by Lin-Mark - great course, even with the heat!

The weekend was made with a exceptionally hosted party by David Greenfield and Elite Bicycles. The fun of the Friday night event was only exceeded by the performance of all the Elite riders at the race. It really displays the growing reputation of Elite - as a superb company for the build of the bikes, the performance of the bikes and the customer service which is second to none. Well done Elite racers!

I, too, thought it was a great event.

BUT, not to bash Linda and Mark, but they did not run it. they did the timing, and I think they are very good at it.

Lars ran this race and deserves all the credit for organizing and running the race.

Elite certainly made a great showing, I saw a lot of Elite bikes zipping by (in a variety of colors, too).

Philly Tri was a huge success for all involved - just a tremendous effort by Lars, Alan and Jon.

We want to thank Mr/Ms frogonthewire for his/her kind words about us.

Sometimes Linda and I just don’t understand why we get credit as a race producers when we are not - we are simply timers and registrars - its just Linda, me and our dog Brandy - that’s it!!

We appreciate the nice comments said about us for Philly Tri - it was a great event

Great job on the Philly Tri and Ft Delaware the previous weekend. Just curious … what happened with the UCP Corporate 5K this year … the guys who stood in for you (BestRacing?) really blew it, we missed you guys!

Thanks, Keith

Props to all involved. It was well run with really very little issues – good thing you finally got to the start line, LIN-MARK.

I was on the detoured bus that you had to follow around the park until the head cop (Col. Clink, I presume) decided that the event could not be started without the athletes. So, after a little discussion he and his minion let us through the barricades. Philly’s finest in action.

The race directors and organizers did a great job, especially for a first time event. Concerns about overcrowding on the bike course turned out to be unfounded, now let’s hope if they up it to 3000 entrants next year it goes as well. I will be there racing next year for sure, it looked like a lot of fun.

Good to see Elite Bicycles well represented, Matt Dixon, Chris Martin, Fee Docherty and Chris Boudreaux all had great races.

gotta love dave greenfield.

he is a great guy and i love riding his bikes.
