Phase Three Complete (bike build)

Scroll down to see all phases.

This bike, after many a setback, is finally finished!

http://img257.echo.cx/img257/2728/cimg28601qy.jpgWhat the hell did you build? Did it come with the fork in? You stuck on two wheels in dropped in the seat post, maybe hung the seat on seat post? How many weeks have you set aside for this project James??

yes, to call it “phase one, complete” is definitely over reaching! but at least it’s funny.

Just two brain cells, struggling to get a thought out…

No, that’s just all I have now. Tomorrow hopefully spacers and stem and handlebars and shorty clip ons and a bottom bracket and cranks and pedals.

Then in a week or so, the drivetrain.

Then my stable will be complete.

What shade of pink is the wall?

Actually it’s beige. But now that you mention it, I think the red frame gave off some light onto the wall. And I am repainting my house before we move in. That’s a nice color for some room.

NICE bike!!!

This is getting tasty!

I think you still got a lot of “phases” to go.

But what kind of super deep drop bars are those?

When you are done, let me know whether it is easier to do the cabling first, when it is internal, so you can manipulate the frame around. Never done it–just curious.

The P2 has similar routing. the best way is to build the bike with the cable housing you want. then, when you are ready to insert cables, easiest is to use a workstand to manipulate the whole bike to get gravity to assist you with getting the cables down all the tubes of interest. there are also a few other smaller tricks that help with the top tube rear brake cable as well…

I am thinking you are in for some really long intervals as long as you leave off the chain, cassette, and deraleurs! :^>

Truth be told the majority of the rest will be finished by professional mechanics, which I am not. I care not to let my vanity get in the way of my safety. I’ll install all but the cabling and shifters. Which to me is the majority of the job.

Monk, I am on the Mac, help me post these things.

I updated it myself. Hope you enjoy.

wait til the wife comes in and sees you’ve been playing with the pink feather duster again…that and the shoes all over the place and not where they’re supposed to be…

The pink thing is for my pussy…my cat.

Very good choices for your new bike build. You obviously did your homework! I noticed that you have a light mounted on your vision tech’s. If I am not mistaken is that a light made by a company called Knog? I was going to pick two up today a front & rear as it was a little creapy riding at 6:30 am this morning. I have been eyeing these for a month or so but never had a chance to ask someone that has used them. Thanks in advance for your response! Enjoy your new ride…it just looks fast!

Awesome bike! I have been drooling over one of these for a whlie now. Is it just me or did you change your saddle somewhere between phase 1 and phase 2?

That bottle holder is atrocious. The rest is beautiful. I like the shorties.
