I think I have peroneal subluxation in my right ankle
I can feel the tendon flicking across my ankle when I extend my foot
Does anyone have any experience with it?
I’m going to get myself booked into a physiotherapist asap
Not happy

if you are not a health care provider, describing the situation in patient-language helps in getting a muscskel problem analysed
– patients commonly do not use the medical terms accurately

I second (or third?) the posts above - you need to please describe your symptoms in layperson language, when it started, how it started, when it bothers you, what makes it better/worse, what it feels like. Just stating a diagnosis (correct or wrong) does not help. Best of luck.
I had surgery on mine about two years ago. There is the regular subluxation where it pops out over the tibia (the bumpy area at the ankle) and intrasheath. You cannot see intrasheath and its where the Peroneus Longus pops over the Brevis (or vice versa). That’s what I had, and the whole thing is a huge ordeal. They can verify it via ultrasound, and if it goes too long you’ll start to get numbness in the ankle.
Sorry
It all started around a month ago with pain in my inner ankle
I couldn’t extend or rotate my foot without a sharp pain behind my ankle bone, it was also quite swollen.
My GP, who wanted to get me out of her office as quickly as possible, decided it was a sprained ankle and I should rest it.
So five weeks later and it still hurts, not quite as much and the swelling has gone down, but when I extend my foot out, I can see and feel a tendon flick across the inner ankle bone
Which is why I came to the self diagnosed peroneal subluxation
Sounds like a nightmare! Im hoping that surgery won’t be necessary, but the more I read online, the wosrse I feel
Your need to see a Foot & Ankle specialist ASAP and get the proper diagnosis, especially since you’re 4 weeks into it.
I’m booked in Tuesday
