Actually it was an idiotic spectator in the Berlin Zoo who wanted to swim with Knut the polarbear.

And they claim a Polar Bear can swim 10 KM/HR!!! So if she thought she could out swim it she had made yet another error in judgment.

No, in the vast majority of these cases, the animal sees nothing besides a note on his records. Animals did nothing wrong, stupid white trash idiot jumping in the water, however, got (almost) everything she asked for. I’ve stood next to a polar bear once. It was behind bars at a zoo I was interviewing at. I am 6’2 and this dude dwarfed me when he was on all fours. He stood up on command and my jaw was on the floor. I had no idea they were that massive. The conpets in your head and the reality they play out in are often very different, as this woman found out.
One of the most beautiful animals out there.
This just adds more fuel for my theroy that IQ tests should be given at age 13, if you do not meet certain critera, sterilization. We would not stop stupidity, it will always be there, but we can keep some of it from breeding and spreading. :-/

Can’t help thinking that if this had happend in the US, she would probably try to sue the bear afterwards.
