Peanut allergies going down a lot

For years we were doing it all wrong. Seemed like there were peanut allergic kids everywhere.

Since when is CNN a paywall?

Breezy ate Bambas since were little and no peanut allergies

But I thought the science was settled! /s

Peanut allergies are practically not a thing in our daycare/elementary school now. It’s crazy.

Non-paywalled article. Reversing peanut advice prevented tens of thousands of allergy cases, researchers say : NPR

I remember our kids’ pediatrician telling us babies and toddlers are basically allergic to everything, until their bodies figure out how to manage all the new substances they’re being exposed to. Keep everything in moderation.

My kids were born in the Yuma AZ, aside from palms, not a tree in sight. Her first Christmas we got a real tree, she immediately broke out in hives. Got rid of the tree, within a few hours the hives went away. Over the next couple years, short exposures to pines caused a reaction but it lessened each time, until no more allergic reactions.

““Early allergen introduction works,” Dr. David Hill, who led the study, tells NPR.”

Whoever would have guessed.

I wonder if we should look into doing that for diseases and the flu.

We do - childhood vaccinations start at about 2 months if I recall.

We need a font for when we’re being facetious.

I have an idea, maybe we could color sarcasm another color, pink for example. Has anyone asked the forum owners if that is possible?

Changing font color worked at one point but no longer. Not sure why.

Everyone has a paywall now, even BBC.

It used to be pink, but that fell away years ago for some reason. (and now I don’t ever see a way to change text color in the new board software)

Maybe its canadian cnn? I dunno

Was this (works in preview but it won’t work after I post):
test

I think you can also do mark as html (<mark>test</mark>)
test

of course people don’t associate yellow for sarcasm the same way as pink… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’ve always worked under the theory that people not recognizing sarcasm was a feature not a bug.
