Pats and Cats

Any Carolinians or Chowds out there? Anybody even care? I’m not a fan of either team, just hoping for a good game.

I have to say, I’ve never been a fan of the Patriots but you’ve got to give those guys credit. They find a way to win every week. How many games have they won in a row? 14? 16?

Carolina looks to be in the Ravens, Bucs, mold: not flashy, a hard-nosed D, an offense that doesn’t make mistakes. I guess you could say the same thing about NE.

Pick: Pats find another way to win, 23 - 20.

What do you think, Ryan?

Well, I’ll keep this short, as to not give the perception that I’m smarter than everyone or know everything about football (Ha Ha, couldn’t help myself) …

Pats 23-17.

The X-Factor (whatever that is exactly) IMO will be “defensive TD’s”. Both defenses can score on turnovers.

I’ve never been a fan of “comparisons to great players” (I said I was gonna keep this short, right?), but if Brady wins another SB in this era despite not having Marino-Elway-Favre-Young talent, the comparison to Montana (as I have been hearing lately) may be somewhat justified.

I’m a Pats fan. Not a huge football fan, but I live in Boston, and I’ve watched these guys evolve over the past several years from a bunch of whining sissy prima donnas(the Bledsoe era, not that I needed to tell you) into a group of hardworking players who do a great job together.

When they won two years ago, Bledsoe was making $12 Million a year, and Brady was making less than $1 Million. The best thing that happened was that Bledsoe got injured.

The most amazing thing about this season is that the Pats have 14 wins in a row, and I think went 14-2 for the regular season, and they just don’t get any respect. Two weeks ago, all anyone was talking about was Peyton, Peyton, Peyton. By the end of the game, Peyton looked like a lost little boy.

The Pats have played an amazing season. There are many standouts, and many great performance, but they are a team. They have won all those games together.

I think, and hope, that the Pats will win. It’s just a matter of whether they do it in the form of a total rout, or if they stay true to form and do just enough to win. I’m happy to see a good game. And, of course, do a little carbo-loading.

In any event, their defense is like a brick wall, and if the Panthers can’t get past it, they’re toast.

Have a great Super Bowl! (I expect there will be Hallmark cards out soon, and a national holiday to follow.)

“Not a huge football fan,”

Football? What’s that?

I’m not a huge fan of either team, but I really like the Panthers. I don’t think they have gotten the respect they deserve. What were they two years ago, 1-15? It’s almost like the Panthers are an afterthought – all the focus has been on Brady and the Patriots.

So I’m going against the grain and predicting Carolina. I say the Panthers 17-14.

Sort of leaning to the Pats since Bradey is a UM product. Just want to see a good football game. Being from Detroit, no to mention an old Browns fan, good games have been rare lately

Just need the Pats to cover. That’s all that matters!!
