He just posted some amazingly original content. Best one was him playing chess. Hopefully everyone gets the reference cause holy shit that’s a mic drop.
Hey COPY AND PASTE into this thread. IT WORKS…no need to obscure things
Yeah at the risk of being slightly mean, I’m starting to understand why so many people have been complaining about the forum. They’d be happiest with a typewriter

there will never, ever be a better victory photo than this, with the caption of “Winning is a choice”
Was testing whether or not I could embed IG posts in here…evidently not.
Anyways: link is here. Patrick Lange on Instagram: "Welcome to my living room 🏝️🌋♟️ Mahalo to every single person for making this race so special. 🌺 📸 @lpf.photo #MyCanyon #Speedmax #CFR #Triathlon #PL5"
But but but, can I buy the aero integrated airfoil on the front of his bike ??? These images are awesome and thanks to @rrheisler for making picture posting 1000x easier
Very, very cool.
Why is he trying to move his King first? There’s no legal move he can make with that piece. Also the board is oriented wrong. A8 should be a white square.
It’s kinda blurry but it looks like the bishops and knights are also in the wrong spot.
*pink …and now he’s living rent-free in your head as well! *pink
Of course you would want to talk about this…hahaha
Meanwhile I was just scanning the images to see if there was any hidden messages to Tomas “F-your titles boy”. No eggs or chickens to be seen. Any hidden messages to any other athletes? Is there anyone he beat who talked about triathlon being a game of chess?
Lange is too much of a gentleman to be trolling anything like that.
He played Kona smart - like chess
This post got me thinking … (dangerous, I know …) there have been several excellent winners’ portraits taken over the years at a beach, obviously near Kailua-Kona. Lots of coral/lava. Is this a particular spot at/near town, or just any of several beaches along the local coast? (of course, I went looking for an example and can’t find any …)
The road down to the energy lab. He “moved in” there.
Only problem with this guy is that he seems to DNF when things aren’t going well. Kona 2019 he was dropped on the bike then pulled out with a “sickness”. Roth 2024 a pro said he had a hissy fit in the water while being dropped from the 2nd swim pack, then swam until the end before having a “rib injury”.
Exactly. As soon as I saw that photo I was like, “He’s going to cream me in an IM, but in a chess match I like my chances.”
