Battling what many tens of thousands of runners, triathletes, basketball players…you name it…we have had it or are battling it.
PT has been marginal in success. MRI doesn’t merit a surgical approach, thank goodness. Any particular exercises or stretches you have had success with would be appreciated in case I have missed one. Thanks
I think Bulletproof Knees by Mike Robertson has helped me. Unfortunately, besides tendinitis i have some meniscus damage from aging to complicate the issue. Knee staps like chopat were not helpful, but one I found by chance on internet, the Tendon Trak that was much better for me as it helped with patella tracking but did not apply too much pressure to the knee capsule.
Do some research on short arc leg extensions. That’s what my PT prescribed. I’m pretty sure that’s what helped me get past PF syndrome. I still do them today (2 1/2 years later) as preventative medicine.
Struggled with this for a while and that is what worked. The short arc prevents excessive pressure on the kneecap, or so I was told. I also take Glucosamine/Chondroitin which may or may not do anything.
