I’ve had Osgood-Schlatter’s disease since I was a kid. I developed patellar tendonitis training for a marathon and solely running for three months over the winter. I started using an old Cho-Pat strap I’d had from years ago, and it definitely helps. Has anyone had experience with some of the newer models? Any recommendations? The Cho-Pat works, but it falls down and is kind of falling apart, so I’m in the market for a new one. Thanks in advance …
In the past, I’ve used a strap similar to the Cho-Pat except it was a bit wider. It was made by, I think, Mueller…I got it at WalMart or Target or someplace similar. I’m not sure if you’ll be wearing the strap all the time, but I’ve used duct tape quite a bit for the same purpose. It works very well except it can tear/pinch the hell out of your skin if you’re bending a lot at the knees. If you will be sitting at a desk or doing some light walking only, then duct tape should work well.
