Park Tool TL-10 Shop Tire Lever

Reviews anyone?

$25 is high for a shop tire lever considering you can get one for $3 so I’m wondering if it really makes removing a tire worth it.

For easy tire installation I use the Kool Stop Tire Bead Jack. I’m wondering if the Park TL-10 is the equivalent for easy shop tire removal.

We have one, to be honest I pretty much never use it. Its main use is with cheap bikes, tires and rims where the variations in tire and rim due to poor quality control is so great that some tires want to blow off the rim as you inflate them and others are almost impossible to seat by hand. We dont work on department store stuff so it doesnt see much use.
Some tire/rim combinations like Vittoria and Zipp can be hard to seat but can still be done by hand if you do it the right way. On one or two occasions like putting some brand new Rubino Pro Tech tires on a Mavic Cosmic Carbone SL wheelset I used it to hold one side of the bead on while levering the rest of the bead over by hand

From what I can tell, it’s just a giant Crank Brothers tire tool and those never worked nearly as well as the Var or its upsized shop variant, the Koolstop Beadjack.

The TL-10 is also no longer listed on the Park website which may indicate it’s another Park Tool that didn’t catch on and has been discontinued.
