Has anyone successfully paired the Node to another heart rate monitor strap? If so which one?
Any ANT + should work, heart rate strap should be labeled on the back side.
I have used the Bontrager heart rate strap/speed/cadence sensors with a Garmin, so there is nothing special about the HR strap included with the Node 2. My best guess is that the electronics between the Garmin soft strap and Bontrager are identical based on their design and outward appearances.
I’ve paired my Node to my Garmin HR strap and speed/cadence sensor. The easiest way to do it was to force it into pair mode by holding the two side buttons for 3 seconds.
x2 to this. I have paired both a garmin and a polar. Just hold down the side buttons for 3 seconds and it should take about a minute.
great thanks, just wasnt sure and didnt want to buy a Garmin HRM to find out it didnt pair.
