My other passion aside from triathlon is my love for animals. I follow a zoo and sanctuary called Feldman Ecopark in Ukraine. Some of his animals have been killed by Russian troops. Here is what he posted on Instagram today. I translated it:
“More than a hundred hospitals have already been destroyed. Several hundred schools. Many thousands of residential buildings. Kindergartens. Temples. Entire cities have been wiped off the face of the earth. And most importantly - people, thousands (!!!) innocent peaceful people who wanted to live, love, raise children … You don’t know how to fight, it’s just murder! We will never forget it and we will never forgive it.”

Sorry if this belongs in the Lavendar room. But I feel the urge to speak up for Ukrainian triathletes and all people of Ukraine. Unless Putin and his regime are removed, Russians including triathletes can expect isolation for a long time.
