I am traveling through Newton Mass over the weekend. Originally was hoping to swim at Walden Pond, but trying to find something closer to Newton, where I can get an OWS in on Sunday. Thanks in advance.

I think you can OWS out of Morses Pond in Wellesley.
Farm Pond in Sherborn, but parking is a real challenge, non-residents are not allowed in the lot except possibly very early or very late. There are some trailheads and such nearby that you can park and hoof it in. You could also probably just do a drop in masters at the BCS in Wellesley and that would be a lot easier overall.
