Over 6'3", what bike do you ride?

I believe that this question was asked a couple of years ago, but wanted to see what tall triathletes are riding today. I am 6’5" and looking to get a new triathlon bike. I believe that I have narrowed my choice to the Specialized Shiv and the Cervelo, but wanted to see if I am overlooking other promising options.

I am also 6’5". I own a Cervelo P3 in 61cm, and it fits me easily. I had it fitted for me, and would have had plenty of room to raise the seat height if I had needed it, and have a 90mm stem on it. I was concerned whether it would be big enough before I bought it, but I have been riding it for almost 2 years now and its plenty enough for me.

I rented a Specialized Shiv once, in the largest size made. Although it was not fitted, I can’t say it was "undersized"either; so it was fine.

I haven’t ridden any other triathlon bikes so don’t have further suggestions, but I think either of your options you’ve suggested will work fine if you adjust it/get it fitted for your body.

I’m not quite 6’3" (6’-2") but I have long legs which puts me into the tall stack category. Only 3 bikes had the stack I needed at the time, Shiv, P3/P5 and Felt B12/14 I have a Felt B14 size 61. Great bike, a new one full carbon with Ultegra components is under $2K.

Same here. 6’4". I got a fit and the only options were the Shiv, Cervelo bikes, and B14. I went with the P2 and couldn’t be happier!

6’ 5 - Shiv XL - Fits great
.

6’4" on a 61cm P5 and went the Guru fit route. Love the bike, although I’d probably take a look at the Dimond these days to see if that would have been a contender. Guru didn’t have it in their database when it spat out the results so it was never on the radar.

Didn’t you have the custom Guru? If so can you post a pix of it? Maybe riding or standing beside as well.
Just curious to see that bike. I saw one for sale a bit ago with a tall head tube.
Thanks

6’4", and the large DA fits me just fine with room to spare.

6’5" Just got a Cervelo P2 61
.

6’ 6" here, 37" inseam. Road bike is a Specialized Tarmac, size XXL. I have a Cervelo P3 (aluminum, 12 years old) and a P2C (7 y/o). Both are the largest size (can’t recall if it’s “61” or “63”). All three bikes fit and feel great.

6’4" - Felt S22. Largest size, maybe a 61?

6’4" and not very flexible. Shiv Comp Rival. Cobb JOF saddle. Very comfortable love it. My guess is you can get lower on the Cervelo but I might be wrong–the Shiv is a very tall frame.

I’m 6ft 3in. Seat height 83.0cm. Shiv XL is fine for me, would probably be ok if i were a few inches taller. I could have gotten the L.

I have probably already sold it, but message me in 4-5 days in case they guy changes his mind and you want one.

I’m 6’3", and fit perfectly on a QR PRsix, size 56. A PRsix, size 58, would probably fit you quite well.

6’5" - 61cm NP3
.

I am 6’4 … Long torso, 33 inseam.
I just got the new L Orbea Ordu. Nice long stack …
Rides like a dream.

I’ve compressed a bit from my 6’3" days, but at a leggy 6’2"+ I’ve been comfortable on a Blue Triad and now on a Shiv Large.

Edit: Changed the word not to now. Big difference in meaning there, sorry. Shiv is good!

6’ 4" with a 38" inseam. A 61 cm Cervelo P2 has fit me well. I didn’t need the extra drop of the P3. I will admit to looking at a Slice a few times because of the shorter reach.

You need a shorter reach? What stem is on your P2? I took off a 100 and put on a 130 stem. The new models have shorter reach which would not be good for me
since would not want to go to a 140 stem, assuming they make one.

boy, you are all legs.

And I bet you ride 170 cranks.
