OT: worst song ever

anyone heard that massacre of “time is on my side” by V. Carlton???
when I first heard it on the radio, I thought it was one of the bad trials of american idol…

not sure Mick Jagger likes that version…

anybody has something worse??

The Britney Spears re-make of “My Prerogative” is equally, if not more, tortuous.

V6 - Take me Higher

that song is just… argh.

i guess i have to send you a few songs

then you will probably like that song
.

let me guess…German music of the 80-90???

Alphaville? Nena? and my all time favorite (ahaha)

Modern Talking and one of the crappiest song ever “you’re my heart, you’re my soul”…

LOL

oh, i didn’t even think of Modern Talking

how could I forget :-))

I thought of some german “rap” music

if they would try to release some of that stuff here in the USA, they would be shot within a second
.

“Fairground” - Mick Hucknall
.

“Afternoon Delight”
“Muskrat Love”
“You Light Up My Life”

…and anything by Rod Stewart since about 1977.

Dancing Queen…Abba

It was the first song was played early one morning in the transition area…the guy who played it was almost attacked…I think that it was Tom Ziebart.

Total Eclipse Of The Heart, or in fact anything produced by Jim Steinman (sp?)
.

All good (bad) mentions so far…

My vote: any Eddy Money song.

The videos are even worse - some dork with a shaggy haicut, stroke-induced facial flop who looks like he’s been hit with osteoporosis, leaning over the microphone…

I’ll never understand how some people hit it big in the music industry.

“Afternoon Delight”
“Muskrat Love”
“You Light Up My Life”

…and anything by Rod Stewart since about 1977.
Wow – this is harsh. The Skyland Vocal Band, Captain and Tennille, and Debbie Boone are all better than you realize. You just can accept the cheese of the 70s. I bet you don’t like Peaches & Herb, KC and the Sunshine Band, and the all-time great Silver Platters (Bonus points if you know who the Silver Platters are and who they lost to in a talent competition).

Let’s not forget these,

Seasons in the Sun (1973) by Terry Jacks

Billy Don’t be a Hero (1974) by Bo Donalson and the Heywoods

The Night Chicago Died (1974) by Paper Lace
.

total eclipse of the heart…bonnie tyler…the ultimate cheesy song…
anyone saw ‘Bandits’ with B. willis and BB Thornton…and the discussion between Willis and Kate Blanchett? that summarizes what guys think of this song and what gals think of it…

Tub Thumping by Chumba Wumba. God I’d rather “sandpaper my anus” then listen to that

And a song I think that was called “Cherry Cola”

Mark

please indicate the year of release of your songs…apart from Carlton massacre…I have the intuition that most of the crap comes from the 80s…

the poorest musical era ever…

duran duran, wham, dead or alive, debbie gibson, etc…need I say more?

Rinestone Cowboy?

it’s on a commercial too, and I swore it was a joke. God, talk about a no-talent!!!

if she’s famous, why aren’t I?

kitty

easy, easy, easy. if you grew up in the 80’s, it was all good. sure, alot of it is bad–but you have to admit that there are some good beats. plus, it’s commical if anything. the hair, makeup, fashion…yeah baby!

macarena.
